Clare Millar

Clare Millar is VP Programme Delivery at ViroCell Biologics. She brings more than twenty-five years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector as a process engineer and a technical project manager.

Clare was the Project Lead on the UK Government's Vaccines Task Force on the delivery of various Covid-19 vaccine supply agreements, which contributed to clearing multiple, unforeseen delivery hurdles under extreme and urgent circumstances.

Clare worked at Eli Lilly for over 10 years in various roles. Starting as a Process Engineer / Project Manager, she oversaw the upgrade of a tabletting facility, set up a new Project Support Office for a manufacturing site, and became a Product Leader responsible for the total supply chain for multiple products. She gained valuable insights into regulatory changes and was given a key role in business planning and in HR.

Prior to joining ViroCell, Clare consulted for RoslinCT, a cell and gene therapy CDMO, on all aspects of internal project management functions and a global expansion project. At a medical device company, Biocompatibles International, she carried out quality excursion investigations, identified and implemented CAPAs, managed migration of Quality Management System documentation and authored procedures, scoped and coordinated process improvement programmes. She has also been a Technical Project Management at several engineering design consultancy companies.

Clare earned a BEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
