Rita Tendeiro Rego, PhD, MRSB, UK QP

Rita Tendeiro Rego, PhD, MRSB is Chief Transformation Officer at ViroCell. She was formerly SVP Quality. Rita is a trained immunologist, a certified GMP PQS auditor, and a UK Qualified Person (QP) with over ten years’ experience in Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) from product conception and development to patient treatment.

Her focus is on the implementation and continuous improvement of robust Quality Systems to support the translation of novel Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) into the clinical setting in compliance with UK, EU, and US regulatory requirements.

Rita’s experience includes ensuring inspection readiness and MIA (IMP) licensing of new facilities for the manufacture of cell and gene therapy and viral vector products.
